Catherine comes from Ulverston, UK, the birthplace of the legendary Stan Laurel from Laurel and Hardy. She earned her BA (Hons) in Leisure Studies from Leeds Metropolitan University.
With a lifelong dedication to education, Catherine began her career as the Training and Recruitment Manager at Kingswood Learning and Leisure. She later became the Operations Director, leading a team of over 500 staff and welcoming more than 10,000 students to their centres each year.
After relocating to Italy, Catherine continued her passion for teaching by working as an English teacher and later as the Business and Education Manager for a language company in Padova, serving students from both Italy and abroad.
For the past 15 years, Catherine has worked in Primary and Middle schools in the Venice area as a Coordinator and Director.
She believes that exceptional leaders and teachers are those who genuinely care for their students, demonstrating through their work a commitment to improving the lives of future generations. They show respect for all students, regardless of age or ability, ensuring each one feels valued, unique, and important.
Outside of her professional life, Catherine has a deep passion for singing and rugby—though not at the same time!
